Professor Putricide. Father (via immaculate conception) of Rotface and Festergut, eternally cheerful purveyor of poisonous pother, vicar of vexatious verbalizations, is dead. Long Live Putricide!

The Putricide encounter is the last fight in the Plagueworks section of ICC. It is unlocked after killing both Festergut and Rotface, and is a challenging and fun encounter emphasizing add control and economical movement. After much trial and error, TDC settled on a strategy that had us moving from side to side in his room during P1 & 2 to simplify add control; Putricide casts unstable experiments periodically that spawn green and orange blobs which much be positioned/kited correctly to minimize raid damage while being killed quickly enough not to fall behind the spawn timer. During P2, this is complicated by Putricide dropping unstable flasks (land mines) and malleable goo balls (bouncing land mines) that inhibit the very movement and add control that is essential to a successful kill. With all the movement required, healing is very challenging in this encounter, which put a lot of stress on our healing team as we were learning. There's a lot going on in this fight, but once we mastered both add control and mine avoidance we transitioned Putricide to P3; this phase requires a full out dps burn from 35% to 0% while three tanks must bounce Putricide between them in order to manage a debuff that can cause Putricide to heal. While this is going on, the room is quickly filling with poisonous goo that restricts movement and will kill the raid. P3 was our easiest phase to master, as we needed only 2 views of it before power slamming old Putricide to the floor.

Working on this kill took us longer than we anticipated. Real Life issues caused TDC to be light on raid signups for a few weeks, which caused us to have limited time to work on the encounter. Now that we're back on track, we pushed through Putricide quickly, and are looking forward to getting back on the progression path for the rest of ICC-25. Let's stay focused, and I expect us all to be standing over the Lich King's cold corpse singing the Git'r Dun song in the near future!
